Iran Taekwondo Team shine at 2019 World Martial Arts Masterships

The second World Martial Arts Masterships concluded in Chungju, South Korea and Iran's mixed gender Team stood first place.

The second World Martial Arts Masterships concluded in Chungju, South Korea and Iran's mixed gender Team stood first place.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Iranian Taekwondo Federation, In the final, Iran faced Russia; Whilst Iran conquered competition and Russia stood second with a score of 26:14.

Iran had secured their place in the semi-final against Morocco with a score of 16_13 , after meeting Chinese Taipei and secured an excellent 23_16 win. Iran had also scored a respectable 28:11 victory against South Korea.

The Chungju 2019 World Martial Arts Masterships was held on 1_3 September and the last day of the event offered a fantastic opportunity for the remaining four countries: Iran, Chinese Taipei, Morocco and Russia.

For their fantastic efforts throughout the competition, Iran’s Gold medal was of thanks to the following athletes: Amir Mohammad Bakhshi, Erfan Nazemi, Kimia Hemati and Kimia Alizadeh..
Mixed Gender Team Kyorugi Competition of Taekwondo in the 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships consisted of 3 round (4 minutes of 1st round, 3 minutes of 2nd round and 3rd round) with 1 minute break between rounds.

The male Team is under the leadership of Vahid Abdollahi and the female Team is led by Mahroo komrani as the head coaches.

This event is G1 and the gold, silver and bronze medal teams garnished 10, 6 and 3.60 points.
