With social distancing still in effect due to the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic, the competition, branded “Great Cup of Kindness,” did not take place in a stadium, but was held via online video at the end of May.

Some 800 athletes in male and female categories, in two belt divisions – yellow to blue, and red and above – took part. The youngest competitors were under 10 years of age; the oldest was over 65.
The event offered 12 award categories, with 36 medals (gold, silver, bronze) up for grabs.
And in a “Faithful Aid” ceremony, the proceeds generated from the event were dedicated to 300 Iranian taekwondo family members impacted by Covid-19.
