The Message of WT President for International Taekwondo Events in IRAN

A message from Chungwon Choue, the president of World Taekwondo has read by Maher Magableh, the technical delegate in the opening ceremony of the 11th Asian Clubs championships, the 32nd Fajr Open and The 4th president Cup competitions in Iran.

Dear President Saei, dear Taekwondoin in Iran,

I wish to offer my congratulations to the Islamic Republic of Iran Taekwondo Federation on hosting the 11th Asian Taekwondo Club Championships, the 32nd Fajr Open, and the 4th World Taekwondo President’s Cup – Asian Region between March 4th and March 13th.

At a time when many countries find it challenging to organise sport events due to the ongoing pandemic, the hosting of three major championships highlight the passion and devotion of the Taekwondo community in Iran.

I wish to thank the Islamic Republic of Iran Taekwondo Federation under President Saei for your dedication. I believe that under your leadership, and as an inspirational athlete yourself, Taekwondo in Iran will continue to deliver excellent results and promote peace through sport.

I would also like to reserve special praise to Seyed Mohammad Pouladgar, former President of the Republic of Iran Taekwondo Federation and World Taekwondo Council Member. Your wisdom and devotion to Taekwondo, especially the values of respect, tolerance, and peace is more precious than triumph that we promote, has contributed immensely to Iran being a powerhouse in Taekwondo, both on and off the mat.

Thank you for your continued support for Taekwondo and I wish you all the very best in the coming championships.

Sincerely yours,

Chungwon Choue President
