The 12th round of the World Poomsae Championships is being hosted by the city of Guyang, South Korea, with the participation of 760 athletes from 63 countries. Iran participated in the 12th global poomsae championships with 13 male and female poomsae athletes. On the final day of the competition, the national Poomsae player of Iran Nader Khodamoradi in the individual section and in the age group of 61 to 65 years, was able to win a gold medal, gaining the title of world champion. In the recognized poomsae, Iranian partcipants are as following: Marjan Salahshoori (Under 30 Years old), 3 members female youth team ( Taghipour, Nasaji, Salmani zadeh) and male under 30 years old ( Nadali, :Salmani, Beheshti) and 2 members male team over 30 years of age ( Beheshti, Farahmand) gained silver medals. In individual section 15-17 years of age Amirali Alizadeh and Fatemeh Salmanizadeh , in over 65 years of age Hadi Torkashvand and 2 members team ( Alizadeh,Taghipour) achieved four bronze medals. This time a historical event happened in the competitions and Alizadeh gained a medal in male youth section since 10 years and had broken a spell covered this group age. Iran stood in the fifth place and grabbed 1 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals. At the close of the Goyang 2022 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships, with four days of competition over and done, Korea had won 20 gold medals, followed by Chinese Taipei with four, Spain and USA with three each. The top teams of the event were named as Korea, followed by Chinese Taipei, USA, Spain and Iran.
