Iran’s Mahdi Hajimousaei lost to Korean athlete Woo-hyeok Jung 2:0 in the men’s -58kg. China added to its bronze medal tally as Kai Cheng won by withdrawal. Iran's Amir Mohammad Bakhshi took gold in the men’s -80kg after his compatriot Mehran Barkhordari withdrew from the match and Geon-Woo Seo of Korea won bronze. Iran’s Reza Kalhor (gold) and Danial Bozorgi (silver) in the men’s -68kg, Saeideh Nasiri (silver) in the women’s -49kg, and Abolfazl Abbasi (bronze) in the +80kg had won medals on the first day.
